I spent a good 6 hours this weekend studying at a back table in Starbucks at Target. I had a view of the parking lot.
There are a lot of, um, different people shopping at Target.
My favorite:
A lady, probably 30s, in gray sweatpants, ratty fuzzy slippers, athletic socks, huge gold hoop earrings, and a t-shirt 3 sizes too small that said, "I'm a hard habit to break."
Riiiiiiight.

Maybe you should be studying somewhere more private. You might get more studying done and less people watching! :)
