Chris told me that my #4 pick, ILEX butt paste, was not an acceptable happiness reason :)
So, my new and revised 4th thing that makes me happy is:
fresh cut flowers in my kitchen. I know it's impractical. I know they will eventually die, leaving random loose petals all over my kitchen table, and foul water in the vase which I will have to eventually wash out. But I love the scent, the colors, the vibrance, the natural beauty, the window to the outdoors that they bring. And it's fun tempting fate; wondering which child or cat is going to knock them over first.
