Friday night my culdesac girls took me out for dinner for a mini-baby shower :) It was a really nice break, good food and conversation, and tiny cute presents for Gavin. Thanks, ladies!!
We did the DSAC family picnic on Saturday and met a bunch of new families, which was nice, because most of the time I only get to talk to them on email or by phone. The boys had a blast and were filthy dirty by the time we got home.
We had about an hour at home before we had to take off for a cookout with our small group from church. Ian turned into a little fish after dinner in their pool, and suddenly decided that he would like to swim. No floaties, no life jacket, just arms and legs, head in the water, swim! It was awesome- I can't wait to see him do it more this summer. We were home LATE and both boys went to bed after 10:30...but that's ok because they'll just sleep in the next morning, right?
Riiight. 6:15 and everyone was wide awake.
We did church and errands (last minute baby stuff!) and scored a quick nap afterwards. We indulged and ate out twice- Mexican for lunch and a steakhouse for dinner. Bryan figures it will be a while before we can go out to a real restaurant to eat, so we might as well do it now while we have one really well behaved child and one that can't stand to sit in one place for more than 2 minutes.
And now the weekend is over...again. I am voting for whatever party supports 4 day work weeks next election.
