Camera Q

Our camera has been officially "junked" by Best Buy. I'm excited to get a new one with fun new features (such as that "burst" mode, which sounds like it would enable me to catch more cute expressions from the kids, instead of the open mouth, wide eyed expression that follows every "cheese"). I need to do some research on what to buy. But I don't really enjoy researching electronics.

So, I figured I would just ask you all. Do you have a camera that you like? Which one is it? Should I buy one, too?

Thanks!

We have the very little Canon Digital Elph. It's not a fancy camera, but great to keep in your pocket to capture every moment. I think it takes good pictures, but I would like a larger camera some day to take really great looking pics. Let us know what you find!

I have a Cannon PowerShot SD750 Digital Elph (7.1 mp) which I think is AWESOME!!! It does video with sound and takes very clear pix. It actually zooms 12x's, too. The batteries are rechargeable and last quite a long time. In fact, I've had my camera since december and I've only charged the batteries 2-3 times- no joke!

I have a Sony Cybershot 8.1 mega pixels w/ a 10x optical zoom w/ a Carl Zeiss lens. I also have no clue what any of that means but it does take one hell of a picture! I brought my photographer with me to Best Buy and he said it was the one with the most for the money!

We have the Canon Power Shot S3 IS and I have to say it kicks butt!!! It's easy to use, kind of big compared to other digitals. Takes awesome pics, has a cool feature where you can pick a color, say blue, and everything will be black and white except what is blue, make sense? Also has an awesome action shot mode, which I use often with the kids, and the video on its great too!!

A few months ago we got a Canon PowerShot SD1000 Digital Elph, and I really like it. Tiny and easy. I don't know if it has that burst mode, though.
