Don't worry about it - if he is thirsty, he will drink. He is eating a variety of healthy foods. He will get over it.

P.S. if he starts looking a little skeletal, forget I said this.

P.P.S. he is 1/4 Merkel. We don't ever not eat.

chocolate milk? with all of mine, I figured breast milk was sweet like cereal milk so the long term nursers just get used to it.

'Course, that has a set of other issues.

Who can blame him, it tastes better than a million melons. Or so I have heard.

HA HA HA! T's comment is AWESOME! No advice here, I haven't had to deal with weaning so I haven't read too much about it.

Don't you have a freezer full of breast milk?? He is likes the comfort of you, you gotta trick him ;) Have a bottle of breast milk ready, start nursing then slide in the bottle (warmed so it still tastes like you), he'll still feel your skin on his cheek. Good Luck! I love his hair down, don't cut it! Can't wait to meet him! Love~Mom

Logan would NOT take a bottle and I wanted to start cutting back on how much I nurse him (want to wean him by 12m)...SO I got really frustrated (he wouldn't take a sippy cut either) so 3 days ago I refused to nurse him until he would take a bottle. By 1:30 in the afternoon he gave in and took one and now (day 3) he doesn't mind and will take one whenever. He was very stubborn the first two days and only drank 4 ounces the first day, then 10 the second, then 16+ today....so I plan to nurse him once in the evening for the next few weeks. I'm hoping he will let me know when we can give that one up too. Good luck...hope Chase is not as stubborn as Logan.

I'm thinking like a man...but when I want my puppy to stop chewing on stuff we put bitter apple spray on it. Seems like a good idea to me!

:) you can borrow some when you get here if the problem is not solved.
